Hot Honey Lox Bagels with a Zesty Kick

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. Ducktrap Hot Honey Cold Smoked Salmon, at room temperature
  • 4 bagels, sliced and lightly toasted
  • Optional toppings: thinly sliced cucumber, tomato, or avocado

For the Lemon & Chive Cream Cheese

  • 12 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup fresh chives, finely snipped
  • 4 Tbsp flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp lemon zest
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the cream cheese spread: In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, chives, parsley, basil, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and evenly blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Assemble the bagels: Spread a generous layer of the Lemon & Chive Cream Cheese on each toasted bagel half.
  3. Top each half with about 1 oz. of Ducktrap Hot Honey Cold Smoked Salmon.
  4. Add optional toppings like sliced cucumber, tomato, or avocado, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately.
